Music extraordinaire Sean Garrett is at the top of his game. Having produced and written chart-smashing hits for the likes of Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, and Usher, Garrett easily leads the pack among music’s most notable songwriters and producers—and he has 17 number-one singles under his belt to prove it. More recently, Garrett worked with Brandy, having produced and written a majority of her critically-acclaimed, comeback album, Two Eleven. Her first single, Put It Down, also written and produced by the Atlanta-born musician, earned Brandy her first Billboard top ten single in a decade. In fact, Garrett tells VIBE that Brandy’s third single will be another one of his assisted tracks called Let Me Go—a sure-to-be club banger. Though the hit-maker admits he doesn’t go out much, because he’s always in the studio cooking up the latest sounds, he did reveal a few spots where he likes to lay low and chill. Find out where he also likes to cop some fresh sneakers when he’s in New York.

BrandyIt’s been four years since we’ve heard an official release from this songbird. Her last album Human was Brandy’s lowest-charting. However the singer’s been keeping her name in the air with a stint on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, and reality show with younger brother Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business. Now signed to RCA records Brandy’s working on her sixth studio album. She told VIBE earlier this year, “I just want to do R&B that is very forward where it’s not just what you hear on the radio now.”
Other people on the list are Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, Estelle, Maxwell & Monica.

When BET’s “The Game” returns next year, they will have a little veteran surprise added to the cast. During season 5, Brandy will be making her debut in the cast. You may remember her from her “Moesha” days but we are sure this will be an extremely grown up type of role.
BET has not revealed what character Brandy will portray as of yet, but after Terrence J’s role as Tasha Mack’s (Wendy Raquel Robinson) boo last season we wonder what surprises to expect.
In addition to Brandy expect guest apperances by Shawn Marion, Estelle, Selita Ebanks, DeRay Davis, NeNe Leakes, Rockmond Dunbar, and the Emmy-award winning Loretta Devine among others. Tuesday, January 10th at 10 p.m. can not come any sooner! —Krystal Holmes
